Mark Green: Mid-Cheshire
I’m Mark and I’ve lived in the fabulous village of Moulton for over 20 years. Moulton is almost equal distance from our three great Salt Towns of Middlewich, Northwich and Winsford and all of them have been important to me and my family over the years. My wife taught in Middlewich, my three children have all attended Northwich schools, and I play walking football with Winsford Town.
I’ve been active working in different parts of the community; as a parish councillor; working with the police and local authority on community safety; on the liaison group for the local hazardous waste facility in the salt mine. And after being ordained in the Church of England in 2017 I was the curate at St Helens in Northwich and vicar at St Stephen’s in Moulton until September last year.
What drives me is a commitment to speaking out against injustice and inequality. It could be the water companies paying out millions in dividends while they put raw sewage in our rivers; the system that allows people to make obscene sums of money, while others have nothing; the targeting of people fleeing to our country to escape the economic and political mess that we have failed to help and address in their own countries; or the biggest issue of all, the climate emergency that will make huge parts of the world unliveable, will lead to mass migration by those who have the least and will disrupt every part of our lives.
Only The Green Party have the policies, the principles and the people to address these issues, and I’m honoured to be asking my friends and neighbours in this area, that if these are the issues that concern you,
