Nick Brown – Chester North and Neston
Over the last decade or so, I have seen the country let down by a succession of Conservative Governments and the residents of Chester and Neston ignored by their elected Labour MP. We need a fresh start, with fresh ideas. We need to end ‘business as usual’. We can see from recent local elections that people are ready and willing to vote for an alternative to the power tennis between the Tories and Labour. The Green Party believe in social and environmental justice at our core.
I am tired of seeing corruption in government and the drift to the right of Parliamentary politics. I am tired of inaction on issues like school funding, the climate emergency and the national housing crisis. I am tired of politicians on all sides too afraid to stand up for their
beliefs on issues like a ceasefire in Palestine, choosing to tow the party line.
Our area is on the front line of social change and climate change and I didn’t want to be another social media warrior. I am standing to be the amplifier for those voices that are not being heard. That’s why I am proud to be the Green Party candidate for Chester North and Neston.
