Universal Basic Income

There was a fascinating meeting in Manchester on Thursday 28 July 2022 when the RSA hosted the Basic Income North conference. The concept of universal basic income is receiving high levels of interest in a number of regions and nations around the world, including among business and government leaders. Several Green Party members spoke, and the keynote address was given by Natalie Bennett (Baroness Bennett of Manor Castle) who was the leader of the Greeen Party from 2012 to 2016.

The RSA have published an interim report on universal basic income, focusing on how it could help address our current mental health crisis.
